In the September 2011 episode of Integration TV we highlighted an article from the Fall 2011 issue of Good Magazine which graphed the growth of APIs since January 2006. The growth has been explosive with close to 4000 APIs being publically available by mid 2011. If you take a look at the website http://www.programmableweb.com/ they catalogue 3920 APIs and about 6135 data mashups. Growth is not only increasing quickly and exponentially but so is the amount of data available to be accessed, parsed and integrated.
